Creator of Human Blueprint
Russell Young
A student at British School Jakarta, Indonesia, exploring biology through code.
Russell Young, also known as Russell James Young, created Human Blueprint to make the human body easier to explore. The project brings together his interest in biology and building interactive experiences for the web.
Explore Human Blueprint
Biology you can explore
Rotate and inspect the 3D body, reveal anatomical systems, and explore nerves, vessels, and joints with Deep Anatomy. Narrated Body Journeys show processes such as circulation, digestion, breathing, and wound healing.
The Microscopic Explorer connects organs with close-up views of lung alveoli, intestinal villi, and kidney filtration structures. English and Bahasa Indonesia options make the experience accessible to more learners.

Explore the body journeys
- A medicine’s journey
Follow a tablet from swallowing to absorption, circulation, and its target.
- Water’s Journey
Follow a drink through swallowing, absorption, circulation, and the kidneys.
- Food’s Journey
Explore the transformation of a bite of food through the digestive system.
- Gas Journey
See how gut microbes create gas and how the body moves and releases it.
- Blood Journey
Follow the beating heart and the connected circuits of blood flow.
- Air & Breathing
Travel from a breath to the microscopic exchange of oxygen and carbon dioxide.
- The mRNA Vaccine Journey
Explore a visual introduction to how COVID-19 mRNA vaccines train immune defenses.
- How a Wound Heals
See a cut trigger clotting, immune cleanup, and tissue repair in narrated 3D.
- Inside the Lungs
Explore lung tissue, alveoli, and the microscopic air–blood barrier.
- Inside the Small Intestine
Explore intestinal villi and the cells that absorb nutrients.
- Inside the Kidneys
Explore kidney tissue and the microscopic filtration barrier.
